Atlanta businesswoman Cynthia Calhoun, 57, has higher energy and lower blood pressure now, thanks to Kare’s Micronized Purple Rice (MPR) powder.

Cynthia keeps very busy with her work as a financial literacy speaker and real estate investor who coaches, trains, and mentors people on investing.

“I’d been thin most of my life,” Cynthia says, “but the things I used to do to stay thin didn’t work anymore. I kept attributing my lack of energy and weight gain to the fact that I wasn’t working out, because I didn’t have the energy. I was lethargic all the time and just wanted to sleep during the day. I’d get up at 9 and be ready for a nap by 11:30 — it was crazy!”

“I used to peel myself out of bed every morning,” she says, “but the day after I started on MPR, I woke up at 5 a.m. with so much energy it was ridiculous! But it wasn’t jittery energy — it was a calm, natural energy that helped me get more done.”

“I know a lot of people don’t feel energy from it right away,” she says, “but for me it was the first thing I noticed. I thought, ‘It can’t just be the purple rice,’ but then I realized I hadn’t done anything else different.”

“I started on MPR in March,” she says. “I was looking for a way to lower my blood pressure naturally, and I just wanted more energy and to feel better overall. I’d read so many wonderful testimonials about MPR that I just knew it would be good for my body.”

Cynthia learned how this powerful food can fuel the body, giving it more energy to repair and regenerate, and that it takes 60 pounds of rare, heirloom purple rice from Thailand to make just one pound of powerful MPR powder.

The most nutritious part of the purple rice grains is extracted and milled so fine that its concentrated nutrients can be absorbed through the cell membrane, where they can fuel our mitochondria (cellular batteries), which then produce ATP, or pure light energy.

Her friends have started noticing the difference in her, she says.

“People at church began telling me, ‘Your skin looks great!’ I felt like my body was smiling at me from the inside!”

“I even noticed the dry scaly skin on my feet has improved,” she adds. “And again, I’m doing nothing different.”

Cynthia’s mother felt more energy pretty quickly as well, she says.

“My mom called me one morning to say, ‘Omigosh, I just have to tell you, I have so much energy — I haven’t felt this good in years!’ And she started telling me about all the things she’d gotten done that morning. I was like, whoa, Mom, slow down! She was just beaming with energy!”

“She’s also seen quite a noticeable difference in her osteoarthritis,” Cynthia relates. “She quit taking her MPR for a while because she was worried it would make her lose weight and get too thin, and she told me, ‘I can feel a major difference in my arthritis just from being off it for a few days. The pain is coming back.’ After I reassured her that MPR would not make her lose weight, she went back on it, and now her arthritis is improving once again.”

Cynthia is starting to tell others about MPR, too, she says. “My brother-in-law swears by it, and several friends have started to use it as well!”

“Years ago I developed high blood pressure due to a pulmonary embolism (PE) — a blood clot in my lung — from taking birth control pills,” Cynthia says. “It’s called PE-induced high blood pressure, and I’m on medication for that, which increases my weight. I take two medications, one of which makes my ankles swell.”

“Well, one day my husband and I had gone to a meetup group, and I’d been out in heels all day. It was a warm day, and we got home at about 6 that evening and turned on the TV. There was a commercial on, talking about tingling feet. That’s when I realized my feet weren’t swollen!”

“Normally, by early evening, my ankles would have started to swell,” she says, “especially after walking around in heels all day, and they’d tingle when they got tight. I looked down, and I said, ‘Oh my God, baby — look at my ankles!’ And he said, ‘Wow. Your ankles aren’t swollen, after walking around all day in heels!’ And I realized that was one of the things the Micronized Purple Rice has done for me.”

“I was in a severe car accident in 1996 that left me with a back injury,” Cynthia says, “so I’ve had a lot of issues with that over the years. My lower back used to hurt basically all the time; I’d just gotten used to it. Sometimes it was worse than others.”

“About a month after starting on MPR, I got up at 2 or 3 a.m. to go to the restroom, and I realized on my way back to bed that my back was not hurting. I hadn’t had to stand up slowly and give my back time to adjust. Normally, even if I’m not in pain, I’m stiff and sore, especially in the morning. But that pain is gone now — completely gone!”

“After the first few weeks I started to feel a little sluggish. Then I decided I should monitor my blood pressure. Well, I did, and it was 108 over 68. Before, taking the meds, it was 140/82, so it was higher ON the meds, but this was before I took the meds that day. So I started a log and kept it for about 2 weeks. Then I called my doctor and said I need to get off these blood pressure meds — I found something that has saved my life!”

“Of course, he wouldn’t take me off them — he just cut the dosage in half. That’s OK, though, because I know that eventually I’ll be off them. That’s never happened to me, and I’ve been taking them for about seven years! Now my BP is staying in the 108 over 70 range. It’s just absolutely amazing. That’s one of the major things that I wanted — to be off the blood pressure meds.”

“All my bloodwork numbers were better, in fact,” Cynthia says, “and my doctor took me off one med and cut the other two in half. I expect them to continue to improve.”

“I want to be one of those people who look younger than their years — not just for vanity, but because they’re so healthy,” Cynthia says. “I’m hoping for weight loss, too. I believe that once my body repairs itself, that will happen. The blood pressure meds are what made me gain and hold on to the weight, so once I get off the meds, that will make losing it easier.”

“As I understand it, MPR helps some people lose weight, whereas others can gain weight with it, if they’re too thin and their body needs to put on weight. It gives you what your body needs, from the inside. Where else can you find something that goes to work for you, just where your body needs it?”

“Oh! And I’d like to add…Just a couple days ago, I was sitting here at my computer and my husband walked into my office just to ask me something. All of a sudden, in the middle of my answer, he says, ‘Wow, honey, your skin looks beautiful! You’re glowing! I can tell you’re back on the Purple Rice!’”

“Keep in mind we work from home…so I was ‘au naturel’ and he gave me that compliment! I didn’t have on a cute outfit, no makeup, no groomed hair…just me…and my Purple Rice! When I read complaints about the cost, all I can think is that people are not really considering the long-term benefits.”

“There’s so many things MPR will eventually replace. Those other costs will be absorbed (i.e prescription meds, bad snack foods, skin creams)! I mean, when you are eating a super food that shows on your face, you can even save on some of your costly cosmetics!”

“It’s been like a miracle for me,” Cynthia concludes, “and I can’t wait to see how my body continues to improve!”
