Inflammation is at the root of almost every disease AND it is a necessary part of the healing process.
When a healthy body is injured, acute inflammation helps to rush white blood cells into the area to clean it up—taking out toxins, dead tissues, etc and flushing them away.
But when a body is overwhelmed and too many different things are causing inflammation, the body can’t deal with it all. So instead of going to the next step of the healing process, the body instead goes into chronic inflammation, which can lead to major diseases.
I believe that our bodies, in their infinite wisdom, are capable of amazing things, as long as they have the right tools.
So, what are the tools your body needs to reduce inflammation?
1. Drink More Good Water
I know you’ve heard this before, but it’s true. Water serves to help flush out the toxins during the healing process. Our bodies are 70% water and that water must be continuously replaced.
So, what qualifies as good water?
The best water you can choose is water that is fresh out of clean, deep springs. The issue is most of our water goes through dirty pipes and is filled with chemicals and toxins that nobody should be putting in their bodies.
If you don’t have access to a fresh spring (and let’s be honest, the vast majority of us don’t), I would either buy bottled spring water or get a really good filter. Ideally, choose a filter that is adjustable in its alkalinity because the more alkaline your body is, the healthier it will be.
2. Get More Antioxidants
Antioxidants are key to disease prevention and reducing inflammation.
Some antioxidant rich foods include:
- Extra-virgin olive oil
- Fruits (especially grapes, blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries)
- Vegetables (especially carrots, squash, mushrooms, and dark green veggies like broccoli, spinach, kale, and collard greens)
- Beans (especially soy, lentils, black-eyed peas, black beans, and kidney beans)
- Fish (especially sardines, salmon, oysters, mackerel, tuna steak, wild rainbow trout, albacore tuna, and herring)
- Whole grains (Especially Micronized Purple Rice – discussed more in #3)
- Green tea
- Turmeric
- Ginger
- Sweet Potatoes
- Nuts
3. Eat Micronized Purple Rice
This may be a new one for you. It’s okay, many people have not heard of this before.
So, what is Micronized Purple Rice and what does it do?
This is an ancient strain of purple rice, grown in Thailand in pristine soils. They are able to remove just the nutrients needed to recharge the cells—like every known amino acid and tons of antioxidants (1600 times more potent than blueberries). It takes 60 pounds of rice to get 1 pound of these nutrients. Then it is put through a one-of-a-kind milling machine that mills it down to the size of a micron. Because it is so tiny, it can get into any cell, no matter how damaged and recharge it.
What does recharging your cells look like?
It looks a little different for everyone. Your body, in its infinite wisdom, uses this wherever it is most needed. For myself, my cholesterol dropped 73 points within 1 month. I have now been eating this for a year, and it just keeps getting better. I now have more energy, my skin started to tighten and glow, my naturally fine hair has gotten thicker, my aches and pains are gone, and the barrett’s syndrome and hiatal hernia I was diagnosed with a year ago are now undetectable.
For my 73-year-old husband, Charles–his results are even more remarkable! Charles’ morning blood sugar normalized within 3 months, his skin pinked back up, his grey hair is turning salt and pepper, and his energy and memory are better than ever!
Unfortunately, this product is not found in many health food stores, but if you would like to learn more about it and get a copy of my Free E-book, click the picture below and enter your information.
4. Reduce Stress Levels
Stress wreaks havoc on the mind and body.
Here are a few ideas to help relax and de-stress:
- Listen to music that makes you happy
- Laugh out loud
- Get some endorphins going with exercise
- Write in a gratitude journal
- Talk to a friend
- Read a good book
- Spend time in nature
- Meditate
- Be present
- Pamper yourself (anything from a small treat to a full Spa Day.)
5. Get Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese medicine based around moving Qi (or vital energy) throughout the body. Qi animates the body and protects it from illness, pain, and disease. Besides inflammation, it can assist with a fertility, quitting smoking, weight loss, stress, and so much more!
Personally, I love getting acupuncture treatments and find them incredibly relaxing. If you’re looking for an acupuncturist in your area, you can check out: https://www.acufinder.com. If you’re in the Tampa Bay area, feel free to check out my acupuncturist Kym Caporale here: http://livewelltampabay.com/
Looking forward to hearing more
Those are good suggestions, however, there are a couple more that I would recommend: 1.Turmeric (Curcumin) actually tests better at removing inflammation than the Purple Rice. However, the Purple Rice does so much that everyone should be using it. 2. Cat´s Claw also removes inflammation, but is in third place next to Turmeric and Purple Rice.
Hello Karen great articles already looking for more clean water and I do acupunture and of course 4 months on purple rice.
Maria
Hi Kare
can purple rice be purchased any where in the world
if its as good as you say it is then why is it so costly for people to buy it.
Grace – The rice is available in 11 different countries. If someone is outside one of those countries, they just need to use a reshipper, like reship.com to get the rice to them.
The rice works out to less than $5 a day. We try to give the best prices possible, but I understand it can be expensive. I’m sorry. Keep in mind you can always stretch the first 3 bottles out over 3 months. It’s a slower start, but will still get into your cells and get to work.
